The winter holiday season is right around the corner and if you’re planning out your holiday events, here are some of my favorite suggestions in West Bloomfield and Farmington Hills. Holiday Events in West Bloomfield & Farmington Hills 2018

West Bloomfield

Toyology Toys Give Back – this local toy store offers unique toy buying experiences for all of their shops and on Friday, December 16, Toyology will donate 15% to 25% of your purchase to the Beaumont Children’s benefit.

Handel’s Messiah at the Orchard Lake community Church at 5171 Commerce Road in West Bloomfield. The event is Friday, November 30 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, December 2 at 4:00 PM. Tickets available here.

Christmas Carol sing-along – on December 12 at 7:00 PM the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church at 4800 Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield will host a sing-along which is open to everyone, and light refreshments will follow. If you just want to get yourself in the Christmas spirit, singing some of those Old Faithful carols will certainly do it.

Chanukah Wonderland Sunday through Thursday, December 2-6 at the Orchard Mall in West Bloomfield is the Chanukah Wonderland. Times are Sun 12-5pm, Mon, Tues, Wed 3pm – 6pm and Thursday is a 5pm concert. Enjoy menorah lightings, dreidel workshops, fry-a-latke station, bouncy houses and much more! Admission is just $5 and $10 for the concert in advance.

Farmington Hills

Women’s Christmas Breakfast – at the Freedom Gateway Center at 31590 Grand River Ave in Farmington is this year’s Arise, Shine featuring a morning of fellowship and breakfast on Saturday, December 1 at 9:00 AM. Tickets are just $15 and can be purchased here.

Cookies with Santa – at the Farmington Hills special services Parks and Recreation at 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road on December 5 from 4 PM to 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM to 8 PM. Meet Santa and grab some cookies for a fun family time. Tickets are just $12-$15 per child.

Breakfast with Santa – at the same parks and recreational facility on December 8 and December 9 at 9:00 AM.

Chanukah Light Parade – located at 30 Kislev 5779 in the Rolling Oaks Subdivision is this year’s community menorah lighting. Enjoy hay rides, Chanukah treats, and beverages for everyone. There will be a giant menorah, games, and prizes. The event is free and starts at 6:30pn on Dec 8 and runs until 9pm.
