The City of Novi, Michigan is about 25 miles northwest of the center of Detroit and 20 miles northeast of the center of Ann Arbor and is one of Michigan's youngest and fastest growing cities. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, Novi grew by 16.5%  over the past 10 years. The current population is 55,224. Home to the famous Second City Comedy Club, the outdoor shopping, dining and entertaining plaza of Twelve Oaks Mall, and Fountain Walk Shopping Center, there is lots to do in town!

Novi is also very convenient to interstate and state freeways with easy access to international airports, rails and seaports. 

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 31.3 square miles. Walled Lake, which lies mainly within Novi, is the largest lake in the city. It also serves as the headwaters of the Middle Branch of the Rouge River.

The Novi Parks and Rec program offers high quality parks and recreation programs for everyone. The Department works with businesses to improve property values, provide economic impact and attract citizens to the community.

The Parks & Rec program provides 1,300 different programs and events for people of all ages serving more than 140,000 people annually. The Department oversees facility reservations for meeting, special events and weddings for the Civic Center, Township Hall, Fuerst Park Amphitheater and the park shelters.

Ella Mae Power Park is home to Novi Parks' adult softball programs and numerous tournaments. The City of Novi hosted the largest Michigan ASA girls fast pitch tournament of the 2009 season largely due to these recent improvements.

The Oakland County Youth Assistance program was developed to help prevent juvenile delinquency, child abuse and child neglect in the 26 communities within the County. This program functions with the sponsorship of the Oakland County Circuit Court-Family Division, the Novi Community School District, the City of Novi and the principal funding through the Oakland Board of Commissioners. These programs are community based and run by local volunteers.

Cancer Support Group - A support group for adult cancer patients and their significant others.  Free.  Meets every Tuesday from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm at the Assarian Cancer Center at Providence Park.  Call 248-424-5543.
